Meet the Board of Directors

The Board of Directors of Tucumcari Federal is elected by the members of the association, and represents a broad cross-section of our community.

Paul C. Quintana

Chairman Paul C. Quintana has been serving on Tucumcari Federal's Board of Directors since 1995. He graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in Las Vegas, NM. He attended Highlands University, located in Las Vegas, and received his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and a Minor in Business. After graduation, he moved to Denver, where he worked for Samsonite Corporation as a Cost Accountant, and later for the Lange Company, a ski boot manufacturer, where he managed the Cost Accounting Department. In 1971 he moved to Tucumcari where he farmed and ranched for 34 years, until his retirement in 2004. He has been involved in various local, state and federal boards and is currently serving on the Board of Directors of Farmer's Electric Cooperative.

Bill Curry

Secretary-Treasurer Bill Curry has not only served Tucumcari Federal as a member of the Board of Directors, but until his retirement in 2003 he also served Tucumcari Federal as Senior Vice-President and Loan Officer. Previously to Bill working at Tucumcari Federal, he served a Loan Officer and Internal Auditor at First National Bank of Tucumcari. He Graduated from Famous Artist School in Westport, Connecticut with his Associate’s Degree in Fine Art, and is considered one of New Mexico’s leading artists with his paintings and sculptures. Bill’s ties and understanding of the community run deep, since he is a Graduate of Tucumcari High School, and has served as an engineer/draftsman for the New Mexico Highway Department and the City of Tucumcari. Bill also served in the United States Army retiring with the rank of Major.

Apolonio 'Moe' Ramirez

Apolonio "Moe" Ramirez has been serving on Tucumcari Federal's Board of Directors since 2008. He is a 1979 graduate of Logan High School and attended New Mexico State University and Eastern New Mexico University majoring in Business Information Systems and minoring in Finance. He completed the New Mexico School of Banking at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1988, after which he worked for the McFarland Bros. Bank and Zia New Mexico Bank for 16 years as Senior Vice President. In 1998 Moe began his own business, Moe's Business & Computer Solutions, where he serviced clients in Tucumcari, Logan, and Clayton, NM and Dalhart, TX. Moe also has worked in managing positions for TNT Oil Company, Logan Super Stop, and the Annex Bar and Grill, and is currently employed as Credit Manager for Kendrick Oil Company. He is also involved in various other state and local committees, and has served the Village of Logan as Mayor-Pro Tem for the past 25 years.

Malcolm 'Mike' Hicklin

Malcolm "Mike" Hicklin has served as a member of Tucumcari Federal's Board of Directors since July 2004. He graduated from King's Garden High School of Seattle, WA in 1959 and then attended Junior College for two years. After college he worked for International Harvester Motor Truck Division for 9 years then went to work for Genuine Parts Company for another 13 years. He moved to Tucumcari in 1980 and opened Tucumcari Auto Supply-NAPA Auto Parts and continues to be involved in the day to day operation. In 2007 he and his wife Rachel opened Cornerstone Deli and in 2008 opened Cornerstone Donuts. Mike was an active member of the Tucumcari Fire Department for 25 years and was a member of the Tucumcari Planning Commission for over 10 years. He also has served on the local Economic Development Corporation for over 3 terms.

William 'Bill' Humphries

William "Bill" Humphries has been a member of Tucumcari Federal's Board of Directors since 2007, and has lived, and owns and operates at ranch in the Quay Valley since 2006. Prior to moving to Quay County he owned and operated a ranch in the Lindrith area of Rio Arriba County in the northern part of New Mexico from 1964-2006. Bill graduated from Valley High School in Albuquerque and then continued his education at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Co, from 1964-1967. He then earned a Bachelors of Science in Agriculture in 1971 from New Mexico State University (NMSU). Bill has also been employed in many different fields from being a teacher, to Branch Manager/President of a bank, Manager for the New Mexico State Fair. He served a term as New Mexico Commissioner of Public Lands, and served on the Board of Regents of New Mexico State University. He retired as the Corporate Director of Project and Safety Management for Presbyterian Medical Services in 2010. Bill has also been involved in many volunteer and community activities such as volunteer fire departments, and several other state and national associations and councils.
